Broken
[edit]The structure needs repair. I would propose it be redirected to the psychology portal, but this is a distinct subset of psychology, and people are sure to be checking it out (havent checked the page hits yet). I will clean it up enough to be minimally useful.Mercurywoodrose (talk) 19:00, 1 October 2014 (UTC)
Changing The Portal layout
[edit]As Psychiatry portal is classified under an entirely different category than Psychology, Psychiatry certainly requires/deserves a well functioning portal and connected pages of it's own (Possibly contrasting the above comment by Mercurywoodrose).
As the portal is indeed broken to a stage of losing all of it's usefulness, I will be remaking the entire portal using the portal template used in The Psychology Portal For it's better style and welcoming behavior (A very personal opinion). The remade portal, after completion will be used to create a psychiatry Sidebar and in turn will be used to connect all pages relating to Psychiatry. (Expecting assistance and criticism where needed, as I am very new to Wiki editing) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gadha1998 (talk • contribs) 13:56, 10 November 2017 (UTC)
Notice from the Portals WikiProject
[edit]WikiProject Portals is back!
The project was rebooted and completely overhauled on April 17th, 2018. Its goals are to revitalize the entire portal system, make building and maintaining portals easier, support the ongoing improvement of portals and the editors dedicated to this, and design the portals of the future.
As of May 2nd, 2018, membership is at 60 editors, and growing. You are welcome to join us.
There are design initiatives for revitalizing the portals system as a whole, and for improving each component of portals. So far, 2 new dynamic components have been developed: Template:Transclude lead excerpt and Template:Transclude random excerpt.
Tools are provided for building and maintaining portals, including automated portals that update themselves in various ways.
And, if you are bored and would like something to occupy your mind, we have a wonderful task list.
