Right-libertarian bias in design

[edit]

Hi! Right-libertarian bias is very apparent to me in the design of this portal, starting from the yellow-gold palette of coloring overall, but also including the coin as a logo. If it were a portal about right-libertarianism, this would be great design for it. Now, I realize portal re-design is quite low priority, and don't really have ideas for improving it to a left/right-leaning-neutral design at the moment, but I'm interested in hearing others' opinions and ideas. –Vipz (talk) 03:11, 31 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Vipz, I've removed the logo here and changed the palette to gray at Portal:Libertarianism/box-header. As a side note, for the Libertarianism portal icon, I've requested that the coin be changed to a diagram, File:Libertarianism-groups-diagram.png, at Template talk:Portal. Okay, the icon has now been changed to the diagram. The colors should be more balanced, although I agree with the editor that it's "almost impossible to understand". Wow (talk) 12:52, 25 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, this diagram doesn't work well as an icon. I think a multiple flag icon could be made with left-libertarian and right-libertarian (bisected red-black / yellow-black) flags for this purpose, which could also work for the WikiProject logo. As for the color palette, I'm wondering whether yellow and red could work together in any sensible way (whether together on each box, or red-tanned boxes on the left column + yellow-tanned boxes on the right column. Cheers! –Vipz (talk) 18:17, 26 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
