Note: this discussion began on a previous edition of Talk:March 2006 that was moved to Talk:Current events. This discussion has been returned to this page as it is more pertinent here. GT06:47, 1 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Per my earlier comment I've reversed the order of the days on this page from reverse chronological to forward chronological. For the current events page, reverse chronological order makes perfect sense because it places newer, more "current" events at the top. However it is counter-intuitive for a historical-type page like this to obey that same convention. I am really not sure why this matter has not been taken care of before and why my repeated urgings for some discussion on this matter have been largely ignored but hopefully this will get people's attention. I think I may have commented on it earlier. I agree wholeheartedly and if you want to take on the task of reversing the order, go ahead. I may help you out with a few although it's 1:24am where I am. joturner06:25, 1 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yep that's why I said largely and not completely. I think you're the only person that has said anything. Anyway, I've done March and February of this year and that's all I feel like doing at the moment. It would probably be better to find a bot owner and tell him to automate the whole thing, so I'll go ahead and make a bot request to see if anyone there is interested. But in the meantime if you or anyone else wants to tackle any of the other months that'd be great. GT06:36, 1 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I don't blame you. However now that I've looked at the formatting of the month pages over the years it doesn't look very standardized at all (maybe that's another project that needs to be undertaken), so the chances of a bot doing the whole thing for us probably aren't great.
