November 2020

[edit]

I don't see why @Alsoriano97: has been removing the entries about Michael Flynn's pardon. Being domestic is no reason to not be included, and the degree of apparent corruption is notable --Gimmethegepgun (talk) 08:08, 26 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Like you said, this is domestic. Do you want to put all the pardons that Trump will give? There are pardons and corruption scandals in every country, and I don't see why Flynn's pardon should stand out above all else. That is why the page 2020 in the United States is for. If you want to argue that domestic issues shouldn't be on here then I'd suggest deleting most of the page since most of the line items already there are domestic. And yes, when Trump pardons someone related to investigations into himself that is definitely noteworthy --Gimmethegepgun (talk) 09:18, 26 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
It can be argued that this pardon is the final step in a case that defined Trump's presidency. Also, as OP noted, unlike most of the pandemic entries, WP:RS have reported on this worldwide. Wakari07 (talk) 15:49, 26 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Alsoriano97, unlike all other pardoned until now, this is a guy who served as National Security Adviser under Trump. He was publicly accused by Trump of lying to the Vice President. He had admitted making false statements to the FBI. The Flynn case made worldwide headlines for almost four years, but it's over now. This is not a domestic issue irrelevant to an international audience. I am restoring the blurb and please find a consensus here before deleting it a fifth time.
