I don't see why a man injecting his wife with HIV-infected blood should be included. No matter how sickening this is, it is a trivial and quirky factoid (note to Candlewicke: I never said that having HIV is trivial and quirky, I said that a news item about this is trivial and quirky). It has international attention, but no international interest whatsoever. Simply being covered in the media doesn't make it a current event, we are not the BBC, we are not a news medium. Apart from the fact that "court documents" are described, it is the first case of its kind and the New Zealand Aids Foundation reaction of having "never heard of a victim being infected in such a way and with such intent", this is being reported in South Africa, Pakistan, severalnewspapers in Australia and the severalsources in the UK. When then does it meet the criteria? I don't understand how this is in any way a "trivial and quirky factoid" (and apologies if I misunderstood) but those are not the words I would use to describe it. --candle•wicke16:07, 6 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
