[edit]- 1881 – Regular train service over the Prince of Wales Bridge on the Quebec, Montreal, Ottawa and Occidental Railway begins.[1]
- 1898 – Regular operations begins on the Randsburg Railway with two daily round trips between Kramer and Johannesburg, California.[2]
20th century
[edit]- 1906 – Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway fully acquires its subsidiary Southern California Railway.[3][4]
- 1965 – Riverview station, in Waltham, Massachusetts, on the Boston and Maine Railroad closes.
21st century
[edit]- 2001 – Groundbreaking ceremonies are held for the Hiawatha Line in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
- 2005 – Two Bangkok Metro trains collide, injuring nearly 200 people.
