In addition to describing an EVA on the surface of the Moon, the term "moonwalk" can refer to a dance move that presents the illusion that the dancer is stepping forward whilst actually moving backward. The moonwalk gained widespread popularity after being performed in 1983 by Michael Jackson, and was considered Mr. Jackson's signature move.
