- 2010–2011 Tunisian protests:
- Ali Seriati, the former head of presidential security, is arrested and accused of threatening state security by fomenting violence. (BBC)

- The online edition of The New York Times reports that U.S. and Israeli intelligence services collaborated in the development of the destructive computer worm Stuxnet to record Iranian operations and send them spinning out of control ahead of a sabotage attack against Iran.
