The Portage Industrial Waterfront Historic District is in Portage, Wisconsin.[2]
Description
[edit]The district includes several commercial structures in the low-lying area along the Portage Canal.[3] Among them are the 1862 Wentworth Grain Elevator,[4] the 1881 Portage Hosiery complex,[5] the 1891 Portage Iron Works,[6] the 1916 T.H. Cochrane Company Warehouse,[7] and the 1920 Hyland Garage.[8]
