Omoba, or Oba, derived from the Edo language word meaning king, is a pre-nominal honorific used by kings in the Kingdom of Benin and later adopted by kings in Yorubaland.
Omoba may also refer to:
- Omoba, Abia, a town in Isiala Ngwa South, Abia State, Nigeria

Oba is actually a Yoruba word for king. Edo word is Ogiso for king. When the Yorubas sent a prince to rule in Benin a corrupt word for Ibinu (Yoruba word for anger)was when they changed Ogiso to Oba. The lineage of kings in Ibinu (Benin) are descendants of Yorubas from Oranmiyan.
