Olga Yurievna Zueva (Russian: Ольга Юрьевна Зуева; born 26 October 1987) is a Russian-born American director and actress. Her first feature film as director was In the Hood in 2016, which was released in 2018.[1][2]
Biography
[edit]Zueva was born in Vladivostok, Russian SFSR, Soviet Union (now Russia). Her father, Yuri Zuev was a champion of the Russian Federation at motocross racing.[3]
Career
[edit]After graduating from school, Zueva entered the Faculty of Tourism of the Far Eastern State University.[4] At the age of 15, Zueva was scouted as a model and began her fashion career in Tokyo. At 17 she moved to Europe where she continued her fashion career between Paris, London and Milan.[3] She walked for various luxury brands and shot campaigns.
In 2006 Zueva moved to New York City and studied acting at Susan Batson's Studio. She made her acting debut with a brief role in the 2010 American action thriller film Salt. In 2013 she graduated from the Schools of Public Engagement with a Liberal Arts degree. After shooting a number of short films Zueva debuted with her first feature film In The Hood, in 2018, which had a wide theatrical release across Russia.[3]
Personal life
[edit]From 2014 to 2019, Zueva was in a relationship with actor Danila Kozlovsky.[5][6] Their daughter Oda Valentine Zueva was born in February 2020, in New York.[7][8] Zueva continues to work and live in New York with her daughter.[9]
