Olvido is a 2023 Spanish mystery thriller film directed by Inés París [es] and written by Fermín Palacios. Set against the backdrop of the 1957 Valencia flood, it stars Maria Caballero alongside Morgan Blasco.

Plot

Set in the aftermath of the 1957 Valencia flood, the plot follows young investigative journalist Olvido Granell as she teams up with Policía Armada agent Joaquín Caplliure to unravel a conspiration connected to the emergence of marked dead bodies.[1][2]

Production

The film is a La Dalia Films production with backing from IVC [ca], À Punt, SEPI, FGV and the Government of Navarre.[5] Shooting locations included Valencia, Sagunt, Manises, Burjassot, Sueca, and Quart de Poblet.[6][3]

Release

The film premiered at the Cinema Jove-Valencia International Film Festival on 24 June 2023.[7][5] It received a limited theatrical release on 29 June 2023, before expanding to cinemas in Madrid on 16 July 2023.[3][8]
