Old River Dove.[1] is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) located near the village of Marston-on-Dove in Derbyshire, England. It was designated as a protected area in 1986 because of the dragonflies recorded at the site and also because of the plant species present, including flowering-rush (Butomus umbellatus). The site includes a meander that has become separated from the rest of the river and is an important site for aquatic species.
Part of the land designated as Old River Dove SSSI is owned by the Diocese of Derby, via their Diocesan Board of Finance[2]
