Ocinje (pronounced [ˈoːtsinjɛ]; in older sources also Ocinja,[2] Hungarian: Gedőudvar,[2] German: Guzenhof[3] or Guitzendorf,[4] Prekmurje Slovene: Oucinje[5]) is a small village in the Municipality of Rogašovci in the Prekmurje region of northeastern Slovenia, right on the border with Austria.[6]

History

[edit]

In 1941 the village was ceded to Germany due its purely German inhabitants.[7] The population of Ocinje was expelled in 1945 and replaced by Slovenians.
