Niranthara Ganesh is an Indian doctor and politician from Karnataka, India. He is the grand nephew of former Congress leader and ex-Chief Minister of Karnataka, S. M. Krishna. Ganesh, an orthopaedic surgeon, is involved in various social service initiatives, providing free medical care in rural areas.[1]
Early life and education
[edit]Niranthara Ganesh hails from Mudigere, located in the Chikkamagaluru district of Karnataka. He pursued a career in medicine and became an orthopaedic surgeon. He currently works at a private hospital in Bengaluru.[2]
Political career
[edit]In 2018, Ganesh joined the Indian National Congress (INC)He was inducted into the party by KPCC Working President Dinesh Gundu Rao.[3] Later he joined Bharatiya Janata Party.[4]
Personal life
[edit]Aside from his political work, Ganesh made headlines in 2018 when he saved the life of a 60-year-old woman on board a flight from Bengaluru to Delhi. The woman suffered a cardiac arrest during the flight, and Ganesh, who was a passenger, performed CPR and saved the elderly woman.[5]
