Nir District (Persian: بخش نیر) is in Taft County, Yazd province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Nir.[3]
History
[edit]After the 2006 National Census, Garizat and Kahduiyeh Rural Districts were separated from the district in the establishment of Garizat District.[4]
Demographics

[edit]At the time of the 2006 census, the district's population was 14,531 in 4,417 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 7,178 people in 2,470 households.[6] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 6,625 inhabitants in 2,517 households.[2]
