Niechmirów [ɲɛxˈmiruf] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Burzenin, within Sieradz County, Łódź Voivodeship, in central Poland. It lies approximately 9 kilometres (6 mi) south-west of Burzenin, 24 km (15 mi) south of Sieradz, and 66 km (41 mi) south-west of the regional capital Łódź.[1]
During the German occupation of Poland (World War II), the Germans operated a Nazi prison in Niechmirów that was subordinate to the prison in Sieradz.[2] In 1941, the Germans expelled the entire Polish population of the village.[3]
