Nicola Dell (born 1981 or 1982) is a Zimbabwe-born computer scientist. She is an Associate Professor at Cornell Tech and in the information sciences department at Cornell University.[1] Dell researches Human-Computer Interaction with reference to survivors of intimate partner violence.[2][3] In 2024, she was named a MacArthur Fellow.[3]
Biography
[edit]Dell was born in Zimbabwe.[1] In 2004, she graduated from the University of East Anglia with a B.Sc. in computer science.[1][2] She later studied computer science and engineering at the University of Washington, receiving an MS in 2011 and a PhD in 2015.[1] She joined the faculty of Cornell Tech in 2016.[2]
