National Institute of Youth Development (Bengali: জাতীয় যুব উন্নয়ন ইনস্টিটিউট) is a Bangladesh government institute that provides training to athletes and carries out research.[1]

History

[edit]

National Institute of Youth Development was established in 2018 through the passage on an act in Parliament. It was named after former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina as Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Youth Development.[2] On August 27, 2024 Government, Ministry of Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs, removed Sheikh Hasina's name from the Institute, and named to National Institute of Youth Development.[3]
