Narayansthan is a village development committee in Baglung District in the Dhaulagiri Zone of central Nepal. It is located above the bank of Kali gandaki River. Now, it has become one of the major important place in baglung. They have planned to construct the domestic Airport. At the time of the 2011 Nepal census it had a population of 2,876 and had 781 houses in the town.[1] The major castes living in the VDC are Brahman, Chhetry and Newar. There are 2 high schools - Janatadhan Higher School and Ganesh Secondary School and one campus. Krishna Gandaki Campus is at the premises of Janatadhan HSS. Ganesh Secondary School, one of the best schools in the region is known for its quality education movement. Established in 1957 [2014 BS] by Soldier Board (India), Ganesh Secondary School is one of the oldest schools. In 1964 [2021 BS], the Indian Soldier Board stopped its grant. Since there was no school support mechanism developed from the Government of Nepal, the school passed through many ups and downs. After Modern Education Act came in effect in 1971 BS [2028 BS], the school merged with Janatadhan Higher Secondary School. In 1980 [2037 BS], the school was reopened. Ganesh Secondary School in Balewa, Baglung, was established in 1980 as a primary school and later expanded to a secondary level by 2008. The school has been recognized for its quality education, especially after initiating a "Quality Education Movement" in 2008, aiming to demonstrate that public schools can offer high academic standards. In fact, the school has achieved remarkable success, ranking first in the Western Region in 2015 and third nationwide among public schools. The school has modern facilities such as computer education, a library, and a laboratory, helping around 690 students receive quality education.

Hatiya, the oldest bazaar of the VDC lies in ward no 5 & 6. Thulakhor is emerging as new bazar along with Garlung. The VDC is only 9 km away from district headquarter, Baglung. Two gravel roads (Baglung - Kusmisera & Kaligandaki Corridor) pass through the VDC. A cable car joins Narayansthan to Kusma, the district headquarters of Parbat. A suspension bridge from Badgaun, Kusma to Kaiya (Narayansthan-9) is another way to travel to Narayansthan. Kaiya has fertile land.

This short takeoff and landing (STOL) airport was built in 1971 to improve access to the remote areas of western Nepal, but it stopped regular operations in the early 1990s due to the increasing accessibility of road networks and declining passenger demand.

**The Cliff** in Naryansthan, Baglung, Nepal, is one of the most thrilling adventure tourism destinations in the country. Located near Kushma, the district headquarters of Parbat, The Cliff is famous for having one of the world’s highest bungee jumps. It offers a plunge from a suspension bridge over the Kali Gandaki River gorge, which sits at an elevation of 228 meters (748 feet), making it a premier destination for adrenaline seekers.

Beyond bungee jumping, The Cliff also features other adventure sports like canyon swing, zip-lining, and sky cycling. The area around The Cliff provides stunning views of the surrounding hills, valleys, and the fast-flowing Kali Gandaki River, making it an attractive spot not only for adventure lovers but also for nature enthusiasts.
