Multana Ram Barupal is an Indian advocate, politician and former MLA of Jaisalmer in Rajasthan.[1] He was first Scheduled Caste MLA of Jaisalmer, changing trends of politics of Jaisalmer, and starting of Social Justice politics in western Rajasthan. He won the election as independent candidate(Total secured votes 26342, defeating candidates of Bhopal Singh Indian National Congress by 6102 votes, and Jugat Singh BJP. In 1985, Jaisalmer legislative assembly constituency had total 129911 electors. Total number of valid vote was 67148 (52% polling). Multana Ram later supported Indian National Congress Party during President election, and Rajya Sabha Election.

He has been chairman of Bar Association of Jaisalmer.[2] He is the author of the Book, "Bantvar Nama", a legal fiction, how a mistake by a government officer leads to a long land disputes between two poor families, and how Indian judiciary administration was unable to do the justice. Based on his 40 years of legal practice in land laws, he explains complex Indian land, civil and criminal laws with this story.
