Background

[edit]

Hassler was a former insurance clerk, and was unemployed at the time of his arrest.[5] He was said to have lived an introverted and withdrawn life as a loner.[5] He had previously bragged about working with Californian neo-Nazi senate candidate Patrick Little.[6][5]

Hassler has stated his express support for neo-paganism in his songs. In his music he expresses that he believes he will go to Valhalla. He has repeatedly denounced Christianity, particularly Catholic Christianity, in his music. Stating his desire to assault priests with crucifixes. Hassler has also stated “… I am not as much guided by god as I am by the thought that our ancestors watching over us and we have an obligation to them as well as to those who come after us.” [Sic][7]

Music

[edit]

Hassler mostly used popular hip-hop music, but also pop, punk and EDM music to create his songs. His music is mainly in English, but he also recorded three songs in German. Hassler published a total of 95 songs from 2015 to 2019.

At one time, it was available on Spotify, YouTube, and Apple Music.[8] Now, his music is available on platforms such as Telegram and argentbeacon.[9][7]

Investigation and arrest

[edit]

In 2019, Mr. Bond's song Power Level was played on livestream by the Halle synagogue shooter, which drew attention to him.[4] He had stated in one of his songs that he was from Austria. Mr. Bond was identified by Austrian investigators through PayPal.[4]

Mr. Bond was arrested at his home in Paternion, Carinthia, Austria and has been held in detention at Josefstadt Prison [de] since his arrest on January 20, 2021, for "producing and broadcasting Nazi ideas and incitement to hatred". In 2022, he was found guilty and sentenced to 10 years in prison. Hassler's younger brother, the manager of his anti-Semitic website, was sentenced to four years in prison.[4][10][11][12]
