Mohammadabad (Persian: محمدآباد)[a] is a city in the Central District[b] of Jarqavieh County, Isfahan province, Iran, serving as the administrative center for Jarqavieh Sofla Rural District.[5]

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the city's population was 4,391 in 1,093 households, when it was in Jarqavieh Sofla District[c] of Isfahan County.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 4,549 people in 1,295 households.[7] The 2016 census measured the population of the city as 5,032 people in 1,482 households.[2]


In 2021, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of Jarqavieh County.[4]
