Microsoft Coffee

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Microsoft Coffee was allegedly an April Fool's Day prank conducted on April 1, 1996 by Microsoft employees, in which boxes of a fake Java-compatible development kit known as Microsoft Coffee were placed in retail stores such as the Egghead Software in Seattle and Office Depot.[1][2] There is a recording of a news station covering the prank, but its authenticity is unclear.[1][3]
