Majdaloun (Arabic: مجدلون) is a village in the Baalbek District in Baalbek-Hermel Governorate.
History
[edit]In 1838, Eli Smith noted Mejdelun as a village in the plain in the Baalbek area.[1]
Demographics
[edit]As of 2014, Majdaloun has 1,015 registered voters. 528 (52.02%) of them were Christians, predominantly Maronite but with Greek Catholic and Greek Orthodox minorities. 478 (47.09%) were Muslims, almost all of whom were Shiites.[2]
