Mehdi Loune (Arabic: مهدي لون; born 14 May 2004) is a footballer who plays as a midfielder for Eintracht Frankfurt II. Born in Germany, he is a Morocco youth international.
Early life
[edit]Loune is a native of Hanau, Germany. He started playing football at the age of three.[1]
Club career
[edit]As a youth player, Loune joined the youth academy of German side FSV Frankfurt. After that, he joined the under-16 team of German Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt.[2] He suffered a torn cruciate ligament while playing for the club in 2023 and 2024.[3]
International career
[edit]Loune represented Morocco and Germany internationally at youth level. He played for the Morocco national under-20 football team at the 2021 Arab Cup U-20. Previously, he captained Germany internationally at youth level.[4]
Style of play
[edit]Loune mainly operates as a midfielder. He is known for his technical ability.[2]
Personal life
[edit]Loune has two brothers. He is the son of a football manager father.[5]
