MediaWiki:Titleblacklist-custom-editnotice is shown when users attempt to create or edit an editnotice without the sufficient permissions. All editnotices are protected via MediaWiki:Titleblacklist and can only be edited by administrators, page movers, and template editors. To request a change to an editnotice, add {{edit-template protected}} to the corresponding talk page, followed by a description of your request.

The discussion gives a consensus that enabling accountcreators to create these edit notices was a mistake. If that is so then perhaps removing that ability would be desirable. However, as long they can should we have a notice saying that they can't? I will leave the editprotected tag in place to allow others to see it and come to a different view if they see fit. Change MediaWiki namespace image

This edit request to MediaWiki:Titleblacklist-custom-editnotice, MediaWiki:Titleblacklist-taxobox-template, Template:Protected interface and Template:Check file on delete has been answered. Set the |answered= or |ans= parameter to no to reactivate your request.

Please change "Namespace MediaWiki.svg" (file link) to "MediaWiki Namespace.svg" (file link) for the 4 listed pages. The old MediaWiki brackets were replaced with the current logo ~3 years ago, this will make the image match the namespace again. Terasail ^[✉️] 02:52, 27 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@MSGJ I would assume that the two notices include this image because their protection is enforced by MediaWiki:Titleblacklist rather than by specific page protection? Although I am not sure if either of them really need it, I just noticed that the old image was being used, quickly made the new one and made the request here.
