Improved text
[edit]A proposal was made at Wikipedia:Village pump (proposals) to change the text to something more like this:

The rationale is that this is more helpful to a newbie editor, and sounds more friendly than the current text, which may come across as annoying. Please discuss this proposal at Wikipedia:MediaWiki messages#Proposed change for MediaWiki:Missingsummary. --Lambiam 21:48, 11 March 2011 (UTC)
