Please create this page with content:
Unrecognized topic {{PLURAL:$2|name|names}} for the <kbd>articletopic:</kbd> keyword: $1. Please choose one of the [[mw:Help:CirrusSearch/articletopic|valid keywords]].
Its very frustrating to be told that the keyword is invalid without any indication of what keywords are valid. This edit rectifies that by linking to mw:Help:CirrusSearch/articletopic which has the list of valid keywords. Tested on testwiki. See this search. The content of testwiki:MediaWiki:Cirrussearch-articletopic-invalid-topic is same as what's written above. SD0001 (talk) 16:02, 19 August 2020 (UTC)
- @SD0001: I'm not sure I'd like to send someone who lands on this off project to mediawiki.org - since once they get there they may not find their way back to the English Wikipedia - keeping in mind this can be hit on by basic readers - perhaps a local help for this? — xaosflux Talk 16:45, 19 August 2020 (UTC)
- @Xaosflux: Well, articletopic is a fairly uncommon search keyword, that I wouldn't expect anyone who's using it to not know how to use the back button of the browser. We could add a section to Help:Searching#Parameters about articletopic - but I suspect putting the whole list of valid keywords might be too spcae-consuming there. - @SD0001: how about just making it clear they are leaving with something like this:
Unrecognized topic {{PLURAL:$2|name|names}} for the <kbd>articletopic:</kbd> keyword: $1. For a list of valid keywords please see [[mw:Help:CirrusSearch/articletopic]].

- Done @SD0001: updated, let me know if I missed anything, also noted that this should be dynamic somehow in phab:T245905 and subscribed you there. — xaosflux Talk 15:59, 20 August 2020 (UTC)
