MediaWiki talk:Abusefilter-warning-throttled
Appearance
User:zzuuzz, what do you think about replacing template {{Button}} with {{Mw button}}? From "Then click the blue Publish changes button" to "Then click the blue button". Of course, this would require protecting Template:Mw button.
I came here, because the banner {{used in system}} at Template:Button was suspicious. Per What links here, the page MediaWiki:Abusefilter-warning-throttled is the only MediaWiki page with template {{button}}, and insource search confirms it. —andrybak (talk) 09:22, 25 September 2024 (UTC)
- P.S. Also, the last period in the page should be brought inside tag
<div>...</div>
. Right now it wraps to a new line after "you can report it". —andrybak (talk) 09:24, 25 September 2024 (UTC)- @Andrybak: The whole point of styling the 'button' this way is to make it 'non-clickable', to prevent confusion with the real button which will appear directly below it. Template:Mw button claims this functionality, but still looks like it can be clicked. However if it makes life easier I'll just write out the text in quote marks (other suggestions welcome). This notice (or rather its edit filter) is currently unused, and hopefully very rare. -- zzuuzz (talk) 11:16, 25 September 2024 (UTC)
- Makes sense. I've updated Template:Button/doc accordingly. —andrybak (talk) 11:26, 25 September 2024 (UTC)
