Mebygda[2] is a village in Lierne Municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. The village is located on the southeast shore of the lake Lenglingen. It is located only 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) west of the border with Sweden and about 30 kilometres (19 mi) southeast of the municipal centre of Sandvika. The village was the administrative centre of the old Sørli Municipality which existed from 1915 until its dissolution in 1964 (which is why the village is sometimes referred to as Sørli). The Sørli Church is located in Mebygda.
