Matt Woods is an American politician who has served as a member of the Alabama House of Representatives since November 8, 2022. He represents Alabama's 13th House district.

Electoral history

He was elected on November 8, 2022, in the 2022 Alabama House of Representatives election against Libertarian opponent Mark Davenport. He assumed office the next day on November 9, 2022.

Education

Woods graduated with an Associate degree in liberal arts and sciences from Bevill State Community College in 2002 and with a Bachelor's degree in business administration from Auburn University in 2004.[2] He graduated from Oakman High School in 2000. His father, Jim "Jimmy" Woods was a coal miner, but got laid off. He started a company with his son, Jasper Auto Sales.[3]
