Mardan Blue Star Football Club was a Pakistani football club based in Mardan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It last competed in the 2014 PFF League.

History

[edit]

The club participated in the All-NWFP Football Tournament played at Sheikh Farooq Stadium, Peshawar in 2003. The club lost by 3–4 against Jamrud Union from Landi Kotal.[1] It subsequently participated in the 2004 Mardan District League Football Tournament, winning by 4–2 against Lucky Star Club.[2]

The club made its professional debut in the 2014 PFF League. It was one of the two clubs from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa who qualified, along with Atish FC Tank, both qualifying by virtue of winning the inter-district tournaments.[3] The club finished last in the group stage, after losing by 0–4 and 1–3 to Lyallpur and Huma respectively.[4][5]

The club subsequently missed league exposure for the next years, as Pakistan was suspended from all football activities by FIFA in 2015 due to the Pakistan Football Federation crisis.[3][6] In 2016, the club participated in the District Inter-Club Football Tournament being played at Younis Stadium in Mardan, registering a 3–0 victory against Lucky Stars in the semifinal.[7]
