Marcus Woodson is an American football coach who is the co-defensive coordinator and safeties coach for the Arkansas Razorbacks.

Playing career

[edit]

Woodson played for four years at Ole Miss. In those four years, he started two years at the safety position notching one interception.[1][2] However, Woodson suffered a career-ending injury.[3]

Coaching career

[edit]

Woodson started his coaching career at Millsaps as the defensive backs coach, where he stayed for three seasons.[4] From there, Woodson would be hired at Charleston Southern where he would assume the same role as defensive backs coach and would also become the team's recruiting coordinator.[5][6] After Woodson's stint with Charleston Southern, he would become the defensive backs coach at Fresno State.[7][8] After two years with Fresno State, Woodson would be hired by Memphis as the defensive backs coach.[9][10]

After a two-year stint with Memphis, Woodson moved to Auburn to be the team's defensive backs coach.[11][12] After one season with Auburn, Woodson received the role of recruiting coordinator.[13]

After two seasons with Auburn, Woodson became the defensive backs coach at Florida State.[14][15] Then after three years with Florida State, Woodson got his first coordinator role as he was hired by Arkansas to be their co-defensive coordinator and safeties coach.[16][17]
