Malachi Singleton (born June 2, 2004) is an American football quarterback for the Arkansas Razorbacks.

Early life and high school

[edit]

Singleton attended North Cobb High School located in Kennesaw, Georgia.[1] Coming out of high school, Singleton was rated as a three star recruit, where he held offers from schools such as Arkansas, Cincinnati, Georgia, Georgia Southern, and UCF.[2] Ultimately, Singleton committed to play college football for the Arkansas Razorbacks.[3][4]

College career

[edit]

During Singleton's first collegiate season in 2023, he used the season to redshirt and did not appear in any games.[5][6] In week six of the 2024 season, Singelton completed two of his three passes for 31 yards while also adding 15 yards and a touchdown on the ground, as he helped lead the Razorbacks on a game-winning drive upsetting the Tennessee Volunteers.[7] For his performance against the Tennessee Volunteers, Singleton was named the SEC freshman of the week.[8] In week ten, Singleton came into replace starter Taylen Green, where he completed 11 of his 14 pass attempts for 207 yards and a touchdown, while also adding 44 yards and a touchdown on the ground, but the Razorbacks would fall to the Ole Miss Rebels.[9]
