Mahwa is a census town in Mahwa Mandal, Dausa district in the Indian state of Rajasthan.
Geography
[edit]Mahwa is located 62 kilometres (39 mi) from its district main city, Dausa, and 114 kilometres (71 mi) from its state main city Jaipur.35 kilometres (22 mi) form Hindaun City. Mahwa, Jaipur, Dausa and Bharatpur are situated on NH-21 (Agra to Jaipur).

[edit]As of 2001[update],[1] Mahwa had a population more than 19,558. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Mahwa has an average literacy rate of 60%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 72%, and female literacy is 47%.
