Mahmood Ali-Balogun ( is a Nigerian )filmmaker, cultural worker and the managing director of Brickwall Communications Limited.[1] He directed the multiple award-winning film 'Tango With Me'.[2] He is the Chairman of the Audio Visual Rights Society (AVRS) of Nigeria (2).[3][4][5]
Early life and career
[edit]Mahmood Ali-Balogun was born on July 19, 1959[6] and grew up in Northern Nigeria.[7] He is an Alumnus of University of Ife, now the Obafemi Awolowo University where he studied Dramatic Arts specialized in film and television production.[8] Mahmood's career has evolved over the years from being an actor,[9] to director,[8][10] producer,[8] industry leader,[8][11] film consultant[12] and ambassador in the Film making industry.[13] Since 1999 Mahmood has also directed six award winning documentaries.[14]
