Lynn Favin is an American actress. She is known for her roles on The Get Down, Veep, Famous in Love, The Show Must Go Online, and for voicing seventeen characters on the animated series Robot Chicken on Adult Swim. She is a regular actress with the American Film Institute in Los Angeles, and currently resides in New York City.
Early life and education
[edit]Favin received a double Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Theater from Wesleyan University, where she appeared in numerous plays and musicals.[1] She holds a Master in Fine Arts in Acting from the Old Vic (UK).[2]
Television
[edit]Favin is a major recurring voice actor on Robot Chicken seasons 8 through 11. She has also guest starred on Veep, Rachel Dratch's Late Night Snack, The Get Down, and The Show Must Go Online. Her national commercial work includes spots for Subway, Dramamine, American University, and Amazon Prime's Jean-Claude Van Johnson.[3]
She also starred in the VitaminWater: Brooklyn Bridge commercial directed by Spike Lee.[4]
She is currently in development to star as Soo-Yeon in Gig Work, releasing 2024.[5]
Film
[edit]Favin is a recurring leading actress with the AFI in Los Angeles, with work on the independent film Papa Gorilla Banana, shot in Venice, California. She received top billing as The Cellist in Ving Rhames's movie Uppercut: the Still Version, released in 2023, and is in development for Uppercut: the Sparkling Version, releasing in 2024.
Theater
[edit]Favin played Rosalind in As You Like It,[6] and Glauce in the world premiere of Medea: A Rock Cantata[7] before booking her first National Tour, playing Ophelia in Hamlet,[8] Lily in The Giver,[9] the Narrator/Cellist in Grapes of Wrath in repertory. She was the Inaugural Equity Guest Artist for Shakespeare on the Bluff in Los Angeles,[10] starring as Desdemona in Othello and Titania in A Midsummer Night's Dream, and appeared as a Witch in Macbeth with the Shakespeare Theater of Los Angeles.[11] She has numerous regional Equity credits including Life x 3 at Coachella Valley Rep,[12] and was in the opening company of the Sarah Play at Round House Theatre.[citation needed]
