Lydia Nyandera

Lydia Nyandera (born 12 January 2000) is a Ugandan professional football player who plays as a midfielder for Lady Doves FC in the FUFA Women Super League.[1]

Education background

Nyandera was born in Isagara Village to parents Mbabazi Marry and Wandera Francis, she went to Kiryatete preparatory primary school in Hoima where she completed the rest of her Primary Education. She then joined Kinyara Secondary School in Masindi, Karuguza Progressive in Kibale district, Kitara SS in 2015 and Kabalore Hillside High School where she completed her Uganda Certificate of Education from in 2017. Nyandera also did a certificate in Entrepreneurship and Development Skills in 2023.[2]

Club career

Nyandera kickstarted her football journey in 2014 when she joined Create Peace Soccer Academy in Hoima. She then joined Kitara SS in Hoima on bursary for the school senior team in 2017.[citation needed]

She joined Lady Doves FC in 2018 and helped the team win a silver medal in FUFA Women Cup 2019, a silver medal in FUFA women Elite League 2019, won the maiden FUFA Women Super League in 2021 and a bronze medal of CAF Champions League and also participated in the CECAFA zonal qualifiers. Nyandera now serves as the current club captain for Lady Doves FC.[3][4][5][6]
