Lonbar (Persian: لنبر)[3] is a village about 100 km (62 mi) from the Caspian Sea. In northwestern Iran, it is the capital of Sanjabad-e Sharqi Rural District of the Central District of Khalkhal County, Ardabil province.[4]
Demographics

[edit]At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 1,498 in 343 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 1,309 people in 345 households.[6] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 921 people in 285 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district.[2]
