List of storms named Mark
Appearance
The name Mark has been used for four tropical cyclones worldwide, two in the Western Pacific Ocean, one in the Australian Region and one in the South Pacific Ocean.
In the Western Pacific:
- Tropical Storm Mark (1992) (T9213, 13W) – a weak tropical storm one person was killed and another reported missing losses reached $10.4 million.
- Typhoon Mark (1995) (T9510, 14W) – raced off the northeast away from land.
In the Australian Region:
- Cyclone Mark (1992) – a weak tropical cyclone with high waves brought $3.5 million (AUD) in damage to the Weipa port.
In the South Pacific Ocean:
- Cyclone Mark (1983) – a Category 3 cyclone on the (Australian Scale) taking an erratic and unusual track, affected Fiji and Vanuatu.
The WMO retired the name Mark from use in the South Pacific basin following the 1982–83 cyclone season.
