Liolaemus escarchadosi is a species of lizard in the family Liolaemidae.[2] The species is native to Argentina and Chile.
Etymology
[edit]The specific name, escarchadosi, refers to Los Escarchados, an area in Patagonia.[3]
Geographic range
[edit]L. escarchadosi is found in southern Santa Cruz Province, Argentina,[1] and in a small area of adjacent southern Chile.[2]
Habitat
[edit]The preferred natural habitat of L. escarchadosi is grassland, at altitudes of 40–1,200 m (130–3,940 ft).[1]
Diet
[edit]L. escarchadosi preys upon beetles.[1]
Reproduction
[edit]L. escarchadosi is ovoviviparous.[2]
Taxonomy
[edit]L. escarchadosi belongs to the L. kingii species group.[2]
