Lilian Montague Brassier (born 2 November 1999) is a French professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Ligue 1 club Marseille, on loan from Brest.

Club career

Rennes

On 20 June 2019, Brassier signed a professional contract with Rennes and immediately went on loan with Valenciennes.[2]

Valenciennes

He made his professional debut with Valenciennes in a 1–1 Ligue 2 tie with Nancy on 2 August 2019.[3]

Brest

In 2020, Brassier signed for Brest on loan with an option to buy if the club stayed up in Ligue 1.[4] On 13 March 2021, he scored his first Ligue 1 goal in a 3–1 defeat against Marseille.[5] His loan deal was made permanent after Brest secured safety on the final matchday of the season.[6]

In the 2023–24 season, he contributed to his club's impressive campaign,[7] as they secured a third-place finish in the league and first ever qualification to the UEFA Champions League.[8]

Olympique Marseille

On 3 July 2024, Brassier signed with Olympique Marseille on loan with an option to buy.[9]

International career

Born in France, Brassier is of Togolese descent.[10] He is a youth international for France.
