Liepkalnis is a suburb of Vilnius, located East of Naujininkai and south of Rasos.[1] It is home to the Liepkalnis Orthodox, Karaite and Tatar Cemeteries, The Church of Eufrosinia Polockieta, the LFF Stadium, the Lithuanian Football Federation, and the Liepkalnis Winter Sports Centre.
History
[edit]841 people lived in Liepkalnis in 1905.[2] By 1931, the population had decreased to 619 people.[3] On 25 November 2024, Swiftair Flight 5960 crashed in Liepkalnis.[4]
