Laith Pharaon
Laith Gaith Pharaon (Arabic: ليث فرعون) is a Saudi Arabian businessman and real estate property developer.[1][2] Earlier in his career, he competed on the offshore and F1 powerboat racing circuit for several years.[3][4][5][6]
Life and career
[edit]Laith Pharaon was born on September 8, 1968, in London, UK to Ghaith Pharaon[7] and Hala Pharaon.
Entrepreneurship
[edit]Pharaon is founder and chief executive officer of Orca Holding, an international investment holding company based in Valletta (Malta), with affiliated companies in several countries.[8][9][10] He is a member of the board of directors of National Refinery Limited[11][dead link] and Attock Refinery Limited.[12]
Racing titles and achievements
[edit]From 1995 to 2006, Laith Pharaon competed internationally in offshore Motonautics races Class 1. He was inducted into the American Power Boat Association (APBA) Hall of Champions in 1996.[13] He won 4 races of the World Championship F1; a Championship of the USA (1996); European and World Titles (1997); Pole Position World Title (1998).

Laith Pharaon, who has raced part-time this season with the Green Team, has been the most successful racer in the history of the event having won twice 2002 & 2003 along with a 2nd last season. He has figured out how to be very successful on this race course with a 3rd place in 2001 giving him four podiums in just five starts.
