Overview
[edit]L.A. in a Minute was established on January 3, 2022, by Evan Lovett, who is also the host of the podcast In a Minute with Evan Lovett.[3][4] Lovett was born in Sepulveda. He attended James Monroe High School in North Hills and UCLA where he was the sports editor for the Daily Bruin[5] and worked as a staff writer for the LA Times.[6] L.A. in a Minute was honored by the L.A. City Council in 2024.[7]
The show focuses on and explores the history and culture of Los Angeles, creating well-researched, entertaining videos about the evolution of L.A.'s neighborhoods, infrastructure, cultures, people, and cuisine.[8][9]
Guests on L.A. in a Minute have included Michael Connelly, Mister Cartoon, Orel Hershiser, Estevan Oriol, Alex 2Tone Erdmann (founder of Born X Raised), James Goldstein, and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass.
