Kurumba Gounder is an Indian caste from the state of Tamil Nadu. A Hindu ceremony characteristic of the Kurumba Gounder are gatheringsat a Mahalakshmi temple for a ceremony of supplication for health and success, during which coconuts are smashed on supplicants' heads.
