Koi, Punjab is a historical village in Hoshiarpur district of Punjab, India.[1] The village dates back to the time of the Mahabharata. It is believed that the Pandava brothers spent part of their exile here, as Agyatvas. Koi is home to many ancient Hindu temples that are considered important pilgrimage sites.[2]
Population
[edit]According to the 2011 Census,[3] Koi has a population of 1,203 of which 608 are males while 595 are females.[4]
Most of the villagers are from Schedule Caste. Schedule Caste (SC) constitutes 6.90% of total population.[5] The village currently doesn't have any Schedule Tribe (ST) population.
