The House of Kipiani (Georgian: ყიფიანი) is the name of an old Georgian noble family, formerly a princely one (tavadi). On 6 December 1850 they were granted the title Knyaz in Russia and were also incorporated into the Russian nobility.[1] "Kipi"(Georgian: ყიფი) means proud.
