Kawaakibi Foundation

Kawaakibi Foundation is an Oslo-based human rights organisation that focuses on the future of liberty in the Arab world.[1][2][3][4]

Founded by Iyad El-Baghdadi and Ahmed Gatnash, the organisation emerged in the wake of the Arab Spring to explore how media can promote democracy and human rights in the Middle East.[5][6][7][1] It is named after Abd al-Rahman al-Kawakibi.[8]

The Kawaakibi Foundation conducts research, media production and advocacy in areas such as human rights, disinformation monitoring, arts, mental health, and Bitcoin.[6][9][10][11][12]
